Blogging - Working Less and Earning More

blog-rules.JPGI was once a typical student who does not love reading. I only read storybooks that my grandmother collected from Australia. But now as a blogger, reading is my favorite hobby. I never thought that reading would be this fun. I cannot live a day without reading. And when I go shopping, I never forgot to drop by at bookstores.

Few months ago, there was a blogging contest that caught my attention. Andy Beal of MarketingPilgrim.com was giving away a laptop in the celebration of his book launch. Dr. Judy Strauss was also the co-author of the book.

The title of the book was Radically Transparent. The book talked about monitoring and managing reputations online. Having a good reputation is the main factor in developing the public image of an individual.

Without a second thought, I went to EBay and purchased the book. I didn’t win because the contest already ended when the book arrived. Despite what happened, I began reading the book. I found out that this book would be able to help individuals and companies to know what to do if someone talked bad about them. It taught me that no matter how prominent individuals and companies were, bloggers could bring them down. (more…)

PwengBee Has Been Spammed!

To make sure that I maintain a good online reputation, I made a search of my brand names - pwengbee, piyoz and sheilla may baes. I was so happy that 99.5% of the search turned out well. And 0.5% of it was a spam.

I have found a Yahoo search result page (this will show you an image of the result page) which contained my name but when I checked out the links, it redirected to some porn site. I wonder how it happened. Why did my name appear on those sites? Is there someone out there trying to destroy me? (more…)

Understanding Your Online Reputation

people_truview.gifI have read the first 13 pages of the book Radically Transparent and as promised, I would share what I have learned from the book. I have read the book from the first page including the feedbacks, acknowledgement and foreword.

The authors of this book are Andy Beal and Dr. Judy Strauss. Dr. Strauss is also a coauthor of the first internet marketing book. And according to some experts, this book will help bloggers for some reasons:

•    It is perfect and indispensable for someone who wants to make money online.
•    It is a guide for incoming business to survive.
•    It explains why the internet is the best way to market your goods and services.
•    You will have better rankings in Google. (more…)

Are You Radically Transparent?

p5250401.JPG

I just got my first blogging book, Radically Transparent! After a month long of waiting for it to arrive, finally this one of a kind book is in my hands. Radically Transparent is an online reputation management book. I bought this book in order to participate on a blogging contest but I was too late.

I never regret buying this book because this book will help me become a very successful blogger.

I’ll make sure to have time to read it everyday and I will never stop until I’ve finished it. (more…)
