Too Busy to Blog

Free ClipartI am too busy to blog for the holidays and decided to take an early vacation. I will be back on January 2009. I don’t want to be a slave of my computer or I will be like <— this guy. Just 5 more minutes and I will turn off the computer even if my eyes are popping out already. No, not me.

I want to enjoy this season - not thinking about homeworks, deadlines, articles to write and lessons to study. I want to break free from computer slavery starting today up to the next two weeks.

For the participants of my contest, I hope you can help me promote it. Still, only a few joined. I will update it when I get back and thinking to extend it. (more…)

Scammed Blogger - Case Not Closed?

My previous investigation about a scammed blogger was thought to be a closed case but there was one valuable comment that have been scammed by the same person, Norilyn Aspera.

Jeremy, a member of Digital Point Forums got ripped off for the services she offered. Actually, there were two who got ripped off by her. Visit the link on Digital Point Forums for the thread of their conversation.

And just last night, I received an email from her with the subject line “Peace Offering”. I was a bit surprised since I have not heard from her for almost 3 months. I am not going to detail everything but to let you know that I have decided to make a counter-offer. I want to ask your opinion, especially those who commented on my previous post about my decision. Blogging Can Be Scandalous

As a blogger, I know that I can be scandalous, pretentious and judgemental. I may have done wrong, picked on other people and blogs about them.

The intelligent seo blog, SEO Optimizers, have done the same to me.

This is not a wrong impression. This is what I see. This is what that lies beneath.

I am judged by people so I understand how it feels to be judged especially when the judgments were wrong.

Is judging people not a good choice for a blog post? It is a good choice so that I will know what others think. I will know if someone has grudges on me.

Is answering questions using maybees a self-centered effort to deny justice? Answering questions using maybees is not hiding the truth and most of all not a crime. It is an honest answer rather than claiming something that isn’t true. (more…)

  • Be Humble-What Bloggers Need to Learn

    im-humble.png

First of all, I wanted to apologize for those who had inquired about the job opportunity that I blogged about last month. I hope you still have the patience to wait since opportunities do not come as soon as possible.

I also wanted to apologize if in any way, I have claimed myself as an expert in terms of blogging. I may not notice that but I know there are times that I brag about my accomplishments. I am sure I bragged positively. If I offended you, just let me know. (more…)

Scammed Blogger - An Investigation Case

DaveAndMillie.comSo much for the Captivating Capiz SEO Contest, I do not know how much time will I will put my heart into it. I have a lot of blogs to manage. Anyway, I hope you will like this post (I am sure you will).

Just this summer, I received an sms message from a number that was not in my phonebook. Based from the message, as if the sender has known me before. I never answer unknown sms messages so this sender introduced herself.

She told me, “Hey, I found you in Google. I was surprised that you are a freelancer too. It’s me, your long-lost friend… ” (more…)

    How Google Employees Work

We already knew that working for Google had certain advantages, but, believe me, this giant of the search motor takes the welfare of its employees seriously .. as shown by this decompression (stress) capsule that is impermeable to sound and light …

My Aunties outside the Philippines are fond of forwarding emails. The emails can be a greeting, a quote or a very controversial topic they want to share to me. Sometimes, I find their emails more resourceful than Google.

Speaking of Google, I thought the email my Aunt sent me this morning was the job application she was talking about because the subject of the email was “Google Employees” and I immediately opened it. I was expecting that Google is hiring me (dream on Pweng Bee). But, as a matter of fact, it was not. (more…)

    The Google-Digg Issue

    digg_google

GDigg or GooDigg? Or maybe DIGGOOGLE? There were reports from JackBook and Techcrunch that Google is negotiating a budget of $200 million to buy Digg. Again, the Digg value is $200 million.

JackBook said that he still does not even understand why Google would waste their $200 million just for an easy to replicate website like Digg. He can even help Google hire programmers to build the site for only $49 million. $151 is a lot of money to waste.

TechCrunch, who have heard from multiple resources that Google and Digg already signed a letter of intent. TechCrunch also wrote about this Google-Digg negotiation last March.

Digg then immediately reacted to TechCrunch’s post and explained their side.
