I don’t how to start this but here it goes. For those who don’t know, I am Sheilla May O. Baes. I am a proud Filipino. I am a freelance writer and a blogger. I am into social networking and bookmarking, link building and paid blogging.
I just realized that I have a very unique talent which I should make use of. Some people need to be taught to do that. My writing career began when I discovered Bestjobs. I began searching for homebased jobs. Some clients found me from a resume search there.

This is at my friend’s apartment. I am sitting at a biscuit container preparing pancit canton.
That’s when my world changed. I was too excited. I made lots of job applications and the results were good. I got the job on most of them. But, there is one problem. I don’t have my own computer!!! How am I able to do my job? How will I update my blog? I was saddened.
Luckily, I have friends which offered me to use their computer free of charge at a very limited time. I tried to do my job even there is too little time. Thanks to my friends. But it is much better is I have my own computer, especially a portable one. A laptop.

This is me at my friend’ house. I stayed there for a week just to blog. I haven’t bathed nor brushed my teeth for three days. I even got sick. I tried to do everything I can. I only have a week to blog. (This is not a very good photo of mine, very disgusting.)
These are the other computers which I worked on. The one in the left is my cousin’s and the one in the right is my bestfriend’s.

I also keep a file of my tasks. I print them so that I can read them even when I am not online. I have a notebook that I put my writings on whenever I feel like writing. While I am waiting for my time to use the computer, I write everything down in my notebook and type them later in Microsoft Word and upload it in the internet.

I have turned down clients because I have no permanent workplace. It was an opportunity of a lifetime. I have found cheap laptops with high-quality features but I still do not have enough to get one.
For now, I am doing paid blogging and joining blog contests. I have my own domain which I bought from my earnings on writing reviews. I also won in a contest which increased my earnings to $200 this month.
I have seen how the internet helped a lot of people. I have also seen proof that there is someone out there willing to help those who are in need. I have seen people who asked donors or sponsors to have a laptop. They have stable jobs, not like me. I want to see how bloggers help each other.
Here’s a link to a story…
Leah Culver - I think she is a nice girl. She is a founder and the lead developer of a social network, Pownce, that lets you send stuff to your friends online. This her new laptop etched with icons of social networking websites. Click the image to read her story.
*I don’t have much time to look for other stories but I will add some more soon!
That’s my story. I want to explain a bit further but time is running out. I need to have a laptop as soon as possible. I am not demanding for a very expensive laptop. As long as I do my job and the laptop’s features are okay (maybe a combo drive, usb/card reader, fine graphics and a fat hard disk drive to store all my work and my tools) and the nearest service center in case the laptop failed to function.
UPDATE 1:Being a writer doesn’t need to have a super hi-tech laptop. I am begging to all of you who have read this that maybe you can help me get a laptop. It’s not necessarily that you provide me with one. If you can’t, just donate whatever amount you can to help me.
And when I have received enough, I will donate a part of it to Bantay Bata.I really mean it. Your donations will not only help me but will also help children.
Bantay Bata is Asia’s best media-based child protection and welfare organization, providing comprehensive and integrated programs and services. It is a shelter for young, innocent children who have been abused. The children are the future and they should be well-taken care of.
For those kind-hearted who are willing to give me one, I am willing to do anything in return for your very kind deed. I will write a review, advertise online/offline, promote… anything.
As I said, I will do anything. Just check my blogs for you to see what I can do. Make a Google search on “Piyoz” or “Pweng Bee”… This is not only a proposal. I am desperately begging you’s all to help me. I AM WILLING TO DO ANYTHING!!!
UPDATE: Used laptops are fine with me as long as it is in good condition.
I have found some cheap laptops at eBay Philippines. I also updated the post. I noticed that a part of it was accidentally deleted while making this post. Good thing I have saved an original copy of this article.
Thank you for your understanding and hope you can think about this… I am also planning to spread the word about making money online on and off the internet. Some are having problems looking for jobs can help those who are already too old to do work physically. This is also a great opportunity for plain housewives.
Here are some ways to support me.
UPDATE 2: I will only accept cash donations through Xoom. Xoom is the cheapest way to send money than Paypal or Western Union. I can directly make withdrawals from my local bank account. All you have to do is sign-up for an account, add a bank account and you can send money anywhere.
