A blog is an easy to set-up website that is very useful even to the non-techie ones. I do not need to be a computer science graduate or an expert programmer to blog.

A blogger is a type of person who blogs. Anyone can proclaim himself as a blogger. A blogger can be a citizen journalist and paparazzi.

Blogger, in a technical point of view, is also one of the popular blogging platforms. A blog can be distinguished using the Blogger platform if the blog url has a “blogspot” name included in it (e.g. http://blog.blogspot.com).

In relation to networking, both blogs and bloggers have their own world. This world is the blogosphere. The blogosphere is where bloggers meet and connect. Bloggers also have their own community depending on which blog niche they belong. Niche meaning the topics they are blogging about. The blogosphere is a good way to meet new friends, too.

Of course, since a blogger have different interests, a blog have also different types. It can be a personal blog, corporate blog, question and answer blog, media blog and many more. There a lot and maybe new types of blogs that I still need to know.

The importance of blogging is best for an individual and a company. A brilliant mind can get discovered through blogging. With a blog, I can be a celebrity instantly. I can blog about my ideas that no one has ever heard before or no one wanted to listen to.

And the best part of blogging is that I can make money online. I can be my own boss. I can have my own company. I can help others get a job. I can work even at my pajamas. I do not need to take the bus. I just wake up, have breakfast then power on my computer and I am ready to blog.
