DaveAndMillie.comSo much for the Captivating Capiz SEO Contest, I do not know how much time will I will put my heart into it. I have a lot of blogs to manage. Anyway, I hope you will like this post (I am sure you will).

Just this summer, I received an sms message from a number that was not in my phonebook. Based from the message, as if the sender has known me before. I never answer unknown sms messages so this sender introduced herself.

She told me, “Hey, I found you in Google. I was surprised that you are a freelancer too. It’s me, your long-lost friend… “

I responded, “Oh, … who? Okay. How are you?”. And we were reunited. Honestly, I did not remember who she was. I just trust people I met online that way.

She said that she had a lot of clients … blah.. blah… blah… . I referred a very skilled writer to her and she also referred me to one of her clients. I was thankful that she found me and offered me opportunities.

But despite the fact that she is a freelancer, I did not expect her to be a scammer. Yep, I am not making stories here. She really is a scammer. I hope this post will not ruin my reputation as a blogger. I just want to warn my fellow bloggers.

Why she is a scammer?

She offered a writing job that she was not sure the submitted articles will still be approved. She knew that the articles were overdue but assured the writer that payment will be made a week after submission. But what happened was the payment got so delayed and not in full.

Another incident was when she offered me a part-time job. She recommended me to one of her clients for a part-time work. I accepted it because it was an easy job. But to my surprise, while I was talking to the client she recommended me at, I have discovered that she scammed me.

She scammed me because she did not told me exactly the payment rate for the job offer. She scammed me to make a profit from it while I worked hard for the job. I confronted her and hoped to hear her side but she did not explained anything.

She even withdrawn the payment that was for me. And then she just disappeared, never heard from her ever since. I understood that she deserved a share from me as a token of gratitude for the help she had given me and I could forget this incident if she only explained why this happened.

I was also embarrassed to the writer I referred to her because I promised the writer that she’ll get paid as soon as possible. She really was so unethical.

As a warning, I am sharing to you some information about her. I know that maybe one day someone will post about me, almost the same as what I am posting now. But I am confident that I have never scammed anyone.

Not bad for a scammer though, she has a good background. I do not know what her purpose was. That was all that I could find. I think she hides her true identity so that she will not get caught. That is all for now, at least my mind is at peace now. I will consider the unpaid compensation as a donation and I will consider this case closed.

Let me know what you think.

UPDATE just minutes later… I hope she’ll not change her identity after this.
