Filamer Christian College (FCC), a local college here in Roxas City, Philippines is now teaching under the Cisco CCNA Discovery curriculum. The FCC Computer Studies department is using Cisco’s course catalog in teaching their students. The department has a full access to the catalog.

The students listen well to the teacher because they are able to view the course catalog in their own computers. One topic that is being discussed in the curriculum is Networking for Home and Small Businesses. This is about knowing the parts and functions of the computer and how to set-up, secure, use and maintain a computer network.

Learning with Cisco is an advantage since it helps the students to pay attention of what is being discussed. They wanted to gain more knowledge of the topic. This motivated them not to skip classes and get good grades. The students of FCC discovered a new way to land on better jobs.

Cisco trains the students to be associates, professionals and experts in information technology. Having a Cisco certification can lead them to better and bigger opportunities. Job hunting can be easy if they got a Cisco certification.

For those who have little or no knowledge in computer studies and are interested in information technology, Cisco provides services that can train them in order to get a Cisco certification. They can take training courses under the supervision of Cisco, they can even study on their own. They should finish the course and pass the examination then they will be given a Cisco certification.
