people_truview.gifI have read the first 13 pages of the book Radically Transparent and as promised, I would share what I have learned from the book. I have read the book from the first page including the feedbacks, acknowledgement and foreword.

The authors of this book are Andy Beal and Dr. Judy Strauss. Dr. Strauss is also a coauthor of the first internet marketing book. And according to some experts, this book will help bloggers for some reasons:

•    It is perfect and indispensable for someone who wants to make money online.
•    It is a guide for incoming business to survive.
•    It explains why the internet is the best way to market your goods and services.
•    You will have better rankings in Google.

Radically transparent means about building an honest reputation online. The introduction talks about reputation management. It explains how the social media helped spread any useful information a trillion times (or more than that) faster than the word-of-mouth. The book said that “social media are like word-of-mouth on steroids.”

In the first chapter, there are a few real life situations that resulted high-earning companies to fall down. Anyone with a good reputation online can fall down with a simple point and click from an individual who discovered one’s slip-ups or when unexpected errors occur.

Others can blog about their disappointments and heartaches on a company or a certain person to destroy them. They can attack someone even when they are in their pajamas.

I also learned a new word, flog. Flog is a term used for a fake blog. There are so many flogs and floggers around so be careful.

That’s all I have read about the book for now. I will focus on this book and not to make any further research about reputation management online.
